  Anti-Human Globulins

Anti-Human Globulins are prepared from serum of immunized rabbits and from serum of a mouse hybridoma cell line and are used for the detection of in-vivo or in-vitro coating of red cells with immunoglobulin or complement.
They are used in the direct and indirect Coombs tests.

Anti-Human Globulins are available as a green or clear solution. Meanwhile the green solution is used most because it allows for a visual control of the reagent being added.

Anti-Human Globulin Mono-Type®

This polyspecific Coombs reagent is a mixture of rabbit anti-IgG and mouse monoclonal anti-C3b and anti-C3d.

The potent anti-IgG part increases the resistance against neutralization of the Coombs reagent due to incomplete removal of human serum.

The use of monoclonal anti-C3b and anti-C3d allows for precise titer adjustment of each individual anti-complement and increases the sensitivity especially for the direct Coombs test. The high specificity is achieved through the complete absence of anti-C4 and anti-T.
